We build the workspace a doctor needs to assess a patient

A new patient arrives with a referral, old letters, results and a medication list in different places. We are building one workspace where a doctor gathers those records, asks questions of them and drafts the assessment.

A consultation room desk with a printed letter, a stethoscope and a laptop in afternoon light.

Why

Start from the patient instead of the paperwork

Before a doctor can assess a patient, they read. A thick referral, letters from three clinics, a year of laboratory results and an ECG report can take longer to work through than the visit itself.

Notebook tools showed that one place for the sources of one question works well. We apply that idea to one patient, with the documents a doctor writes: the assessment, the referral letter, the handover and the summary for the patient.

Workup Desk helps with the reading and the writing. The doctor still examines the patient, weighs the evidence and signs the document.

Principles

Hold the product to four rules

  • Answer from the record

We answer and draft from the patient's own sources, and you can check each one against the document it came from.

  • Leave decisions to the doctor

The product drafts and the doctor decides. Nothing goes into a record until a doctor has edited it.

  • Treat patient data as the organization's

Patient data stays in the organization's account, and we never use it to train models.

  • Claim only what is true

We never invent customers, quotes, accuracy figures or time saved on this site. We wait to make a claim until we can back it.
